The Insurance Helpline There have been complaints in early August against our sponsor (who provided funding for NHW signs), The Insurance Helpline. Complaints have been made regarding an over-pushy salesman claiming the NHW has provided ‘the green light’ for them to undertake door-to-door sales. A formal (social media) statement was necessary from the NHW in order to clarify to residents what the relationship between The Insurance Helpline and LGNHW was. The NHW also wrote a letter to The Insurance Helpline informing them of the incidents. The Insurance Helpline responded with an email, claiming that the salesman was acting outside of company policy and has been disciplined. They were very apologetic.
During the committee meeting, the committee agreed upon an appropriate response.
Action: James to respond to Kieran. The LGNHW shall offer the right of reply to be posted on our Facebook page. The opportunity to speak for 5 minutes at our AGM still stands. Any further decisions regarding the employment status of salesman is the business of The Insurance Helpline. Though LGNHW kindly ask that other Salesman are used within Lyde Green if further canvassing is to be undertaken. |
